Dashboard: 75 Widgets, 9 Role Presets, One Grid You Drag Around

How the widget library works, what the role presets contain, and why the dashboard isn’t one fixed page anymore.

The dashboard is a role-based widget grid: 75 widgets in the library, 9 starting presets for different jobs, and a layout each user can drag around until it matches what they actually look at every morning. Finance, warehouse, sourcing, auction, market, operations, leadership, and platform staff all start from the same tenant data, but they do not need the same view.

The widget library

75 widgets across categories: Overview (KPI tiles and headline numbers), Pipeline & Process (asset, escrow, auction, market, throughput, conversion, and intent funnels), Breakdown & Charts (category, revenue, deposits, bid, listing, and product breakdowns), Activity & Queues (inbound, testing, settlements, auction, market, escrow, dispute, and settlement worklists), Admin (recent sign-ins and signups), Platform Health (module health, SLA, uptime, storage, and bottlenecks), and Quick Actions (shortcuts into Admin, Auction, and Market). Each widget has a default size, a minimum size, and one or more data sources.

The nine presets

Warehouse Ops covers asset flow, inbound attention, testing, grades, and categories. Sales & Trader covers listings, offers, deals, auctions, top products, and commercial activity. Finance & Admin covers revenue, escrow, settlements, fees, deposits, and disputes. Platform Admin covers organizations, users, sign-ins, signups, module health, SLA, and admin actions. Executive covers revenue, assets, value, throughput, top products, and module health. Sourcing Manager covers submitted bids, won bids, active bids, win rate, response time, and won value. Auction Specialist covers live auction operations and lifetime auction totals. Market Trader covers market KPIs, conversion funnels, intent funnels, listings, categories, and deal flow. Operations Lead covers warehouse oversight, bottlenecks, SLA compliance, open disputes, queues, grades, and module health. Module-specific presets only appear when the tenant can use that module.

Drag, resize, save

The grid is responsive. Drag a widget to a new position, resize it from the corner, remove it in edit mode, or add a new widget from the library. The layout is saved when the user clicks "Save." A user can have multiple named layouts and switch between them by opening the matching dashboard URL. The default layout is the one that loads on dashboard open; if no default exists, ReVend OS opens the first visible layout.

Empty state

A user with no visible layout lands on the preset picker — role cards plus an empty-dashboard option. Choosing a card creates a personal starting layout. Closing the picker does not create a dashboard; it returns when the user comes back to Dashboard while still having no visible layout.
