Photos Library: A Tenant-Wide Album
How /general/photos surfaces every asset photo across the warehouse, with the multi-entity links that make defect-discovery possible.
The per-asset photos tab is great when you know which asset you’re looking at. The library at /general/photos is for the case when you don’t — when you’re trying to find that one photo of the cracked screen from a Dell that came in last week and you don’t remember the asset ID.
Filters
By date range, by warehouse, by asset category, by tag, by uploader. The most-used filter is "show me photos with no asset link" — uploaded photos that haven’t yet been attached to an entity, often because they were captured during receiving and the asset wasn’t fully registered yet. The library is where they get reconciled.
Multi-entity links
A single photo can link to multiple entities: the asset it depicts, the inbound order it was captured under, the dispute it’s evidence for. The library shows all the links per photo, so clicking through goes wherever the user wants to investigate.
Lightbox
Clicking a thumbnail opens the full-resolution photo in a lightbox. The compression and thumbnail-at-upload mechanics mean the thumbnail is fast even on a phone connection; the full-res is there when somebody actually wants to inspect a defect close-up. No more "open image in new tab" 2014-style.
